Comprehensive Care for Your Brain, Nerves & Spine

At Vinuthna Prasad Advanced Neuro & Spine Centre, we provide comprehensive care for conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles. Our approach begins with understanding each patient’s symptoms, medical history and concerns before developing a personalised plan for diagnosis and treatment. From common concerns such as headaches, epilepsy and back pain to complex neurological conditions, our focus is on understanding the patient, identifying the underlying condition and providing appropriate care at every stage.

Comprehensive Neuro & Spine Care

The brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles work together to control every movement, sensation and function of the body. When any part of this complex system is affected, timely evaluation and the right treatment can make an important difference. At Vinuthna Prasad Advanced Neuro & Spine Centre, we provide comprehensive evaluation and management for a wide range of neurological and spine conditions. From common concerns such as headaches, back pain and dizziness to complex conditions including stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders, demyelinating diseases and neuroinfections, our approach focuses on accurate diagnosis and individualized care.

Headache

Headaches are among the most common neurological complaints, but not every headache has the same cause. Migraine, tension-type headache, cluster headache, medication-overuse headache and headaches related to other neurological conditions can present differently.

Stroke Care

A stroke occurs when blood flow to part of the brain is interrupted or when a blood vessel in the brain bleeds. Because brain cells can be damaged rapidly, stroke is a medical emergency. Our stroke care focuses on prompt neurological assessment, identifying the type and cause of stroke, managing risk factors and supporting recovery and prevention of future events.

Epilepsy

A seizure is caused by abnormal electrical activity in the brain. While a single seizure does not necessarily mean a person has epilepsy, recurrent unprovoked seizures may indicate an underlying seizure disorder. Our neurological evaluation aims to identify the type of seizure, possible triggers and underlying causes to guide appropriate treatment.

Back Pain, Neck Pain

Back and neck pain can arise from muscles, joints, discs, nerves or the spine itself. While many cases are related to mechanical or degenerative changes, persistent pain, numbness or weakness may indicate nerve or spinal involvement. Our spine evaluation aims to determine the underlying cause rather than simply treating the symptom.

Spinal Cord Diseases

The spinal cord is an essential part of the nervous system, carrying signals between the brain and the rest of the body. Conditions affecting the spinal cord can result in weakness, altered sensation, pain, balance difficulties and problems with bladder or bowel function. Our neurological assessment helps identify whether symptoms are originating from the spinal cord, nerve roots or another part of the nervous system.

Peripheral Nerve Diseases

Peripheral nerves connect the brain and spinal cord to the muscles, skin and internal organs. Damage to these nerves can cause weakness, numbness, pain or abnormal sensations. We evaluate and manage a range of peripheral neuropathies, including conditions such as Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) and Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP).

Muscle Disorders

Muscle disorders can cause weakness, fatigue, muscle pain, cramps and difficulty performing everyday activities. Identifying whether weakness originates from the muscle, nerve, neuromuscular junction or brain is an important part of neurological evaluation.

Dementia

Occasional forgetfulness can occur with age, stress or lack of sleep. However, persistent or progressive changes in memory, thinking, language or daily functioning require neurological evaluation. Dementia refers to a group of conditions that progressively affect cognitive abilities and everyday functioning.

Neuro - oncology

Neuro-oncology focuses on tumours and other abnormal growths involving the brain, spinal cord and nervous system. Neurological symptoms can sometimes be caused by a brain or spinal tumour. Early evaluation is important when symptoms are persistent, progressive or unusual.

Neuro-Opthalmology

Neuro-ophthalmology deals with vision and eye-related problems that originate from the brain, optic nerves or nervous system rather than the eye alone. A detailed neurological and visual assessment can help distinguish neurological causes of visual symptoms from primary eye conditions.

Traumatic Brain injury

A traumatic brain injury (TBI) can occur following a fall, road traffic accident, sports injury or other impact to the head. Symptoms can range from mild concussion-related complaints to more serious neurological problems requiring urgent medical care.

Pediatric Neurology

Children can experience neurological conditions that affect movement, development, learning, behaviour, seizures or coordination. Pediatric neurology focuses on recognizing these problems early and providing age-appropriate evaluation and care.

Movement Disorders

Movement disorders affect the way the body moves. They may cause excessive movements, reduced movements, tremors, stiffness or problems with coordination. Examples include Parkinsonism, tremor disorders, dystonia and other abnormal movement conditions.

Demyelinating Diseases

Demyelinating diseases occur when the myelin sheath, which helps nerve signals travel efficiently, becomes damaged. Depending on the area affected, these conditions can cause problems involving vision, movement, sensation, coordination or spinal cord function.

Neuroinfections

Neuroinfections occur when infections affect the brain, spinal cord, meninges or peripheral nervous system. Some can progress rapidly and require urgent diagnosis and treatment. Conditions managed may include meningoencephalitis, neurocysticercosis and myelitis, among other neurological infections.
